Denmark! What a wonderful place to visit! ![]() Yes, that's me! This was on St. John's in the Caribbean. Karen and I took a cruise in late May 2003 to "get away" and we had a ball! More to follow. Below is a great site and service that I have subscribed to for years. Enjoy! Each day there will be a new "This Is True" story so check back often! |
Videos are here I've got a new video camera and have been messing around with some videos. One is from our trip to Troy, MI where I took a ride on the excursion train that the Michigan Transit Museum runs. The other one is from the Danbury Railway Museum's Halloween Pumpkin train. This was a short ride in the yard to a "pumpkin patch" where we all got a pumpkin. The ride included a chance to ride the turntable. My video is is two formats, one is for slower connections, the other for broadband connections. New Genealogy Info! Karen has been working hard on her family's genealogy! There is a LOT of new information in the new Genealogy Area. This was generated using Second Site from our The Master Genealogist software. Enjoy! Vacation - August 2003 We took two weeks in August to visit Doug and Christine in Oakland. Doug's parents were also there and we spent a great time touring the area with them. What are Grandparents for, anyway? Well, besides giving you stuff at birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, every other Thursday, ...? TAKING PICTURES, of course! Here are a few of the pictures of Jonah that we have taken over the years. He sure has grown up! Old Links ... but goodies ...I've been looking through the web site logs and it is surprising the number of searches that pull up old links. I guess there is still interest in these so I'm adding them back ... First are the genealogy links. The data hasn't been updated but it's still good, or as good as I have ... Waggoner, Ramsey, Nagle, Hoy, or Hoyer are all back. I do have the The Master Genealogist data available. Karen has been working hard on the Hoy/Hoyer branch lately and has added quite a lot of information! Grosgrain Ornaments - Apparently Karen's instructions on making Christmas Tree ornaments out of grosgrain ribbon is very popular. There have been several hits in the past week so we are putting these back! If you remember some old links that you would like back ... Write to me ... |
News and LinksWe have returned from Denmark. What a great country to visit! We had a fabulous time and want to go back as soon as possible. I have uploaded a preliminary set of photos. There are many more to come but I wanted to get these up so people could see them. Karen took many, many more than I and is still cataloging hers. Check back for updates later. East Coast Blackout Hits Us Too! Both this site and therack.greybeard.org were hit by the East Coast blackout. No serious damage was done but the list server was out of commission for a while until I could get a friend to come down and restart it. Thanks, Liz! We were in California visiting my folks and our daughter and son-in-law. The annual Ramsey Family Reunion was held July 13th at the Woodway Country Club beach. Fred and Geri Ramsey were our gracious hosts. This year the crowd grew to 38 people ... a record! It was a beautiful day at the beach, the kids all behaved well, and the friends and relatives all had a wonderful time. David Shockley also took some great pictures. Thanks, David! |
