| Out to Alcatraz! | |||
| Alcatraz was an interesting place. I recommend it as a sight-seeing trip. I found a very interesting web site, AlcatrazHistory.com that covers a lot of the interesting history of Alcatraz. I recommend it highly. |

| Christine found a wonderful walking tour in San Francisco. The Victorian Walking Tour is a low stress (no steep hills!) tour of the San Francisco
Victorian homes. It includes a visit inside a beautiful old home, now a B&B, as well as many of the traditional and
non-traditional Victorians. Jay, our guide, was very knowledgeable and provided in-depth history of Victorian homes in San Francisco. We had a great time and learned a lot about the buildings that are the essence of San Francisco. Thanks, Jay! |

| This is the house that Mom grew up in. I'll leave it to her to fill in the blanks, | |||
| This was a really cute motel up in Nevada City. The Northern Queen Inn is nestled in the foothills of the Sierra's at about
2,500 feet. They have a narrow-gauge railroad that runs out of the parking lot that will take you through the forest up
to the Chinese Graveyard. This is an historical site that was developed during the Gold Rush and the current owners are
working to preserve the history of the site. We had a great time riding the train through the woods and wandering though the site. |
